1. Sınıflar:Vücut bölümleri ve fiziksel görünüm ile ilgili nasıl konuÅŸulacağı öÄŸrenildi. Bazı cümle yapıları ile ilgili uygulamalar yapıldı ve yeni bir hikaye bölümü dinlendi ve bununla  ilgili konuÅŸuldu.

What’s Happening in Adam’s Classes?

 (Report for April)

1^st Grades – We learned how to talk about body parts and physical description. We practiced some sentence patterns and listened and talked about the new epsode of the story time.

2^nd Grades – We learned food vocabulary and practiced talking about likes and dislikes. We listened and talked about the new episode of the story time. We practiced numbers and “can” for abilities. We did some sentence making. We learned and practiced some positive and negative imperatives.

3^rd Grades – We learned about food and to talk about likes nd dislikes. We listened and discussed the new episode of the story time. We wrote a letter to a kids’ magazine. We did sentence making activities about “can” for abilities. We learned and sang a new song. We also practiced clothes vocabulary and the “I’m wearing…” sentence pattern.

4^th Grades – We practiced the “I’m wearing …” sentence pattern, present continuous tense, prepositions of place and making suggestions. Swe listened to and discussed the new episode of the story time. We learned and practiced giving directions and describing our neighbourhood. We talked about indoor and outdoor activities. 

5^th Grades – We read and discussed a newspaper article. We learned about the life of a sports celebrity. We practiced using comparatives and making a survey graphs. We learned and talked about cooking and kitchen vocabulary. We had a discussion about animals.

6^th Grades – We learned about comics and characters of video games and movies. We learned about reptiles as pets and we wrote a letter. We had discussions on various subjects.

7^th Grades – We learned about cooking and kitchen vocabulary. We read and had a discussion about cartoons. We learned garden work. We had discussions on various subjects.

8^th Grades – We learned vocabulary about different home items. We learned how to describe faults and what are things made of. We practiced the passives and we finished a new episode from the story time. We learned and practiced the relative clauses, phrasal verbs and “for” and “since” in relation to present perfect tense. We also learned some computer vocabulary. We had discussions on various subjects.

8-B Level students acted out as a teacher and prepared their lesson plan and presented to the class. They had fun being a teacher.

8. Sınıf B Kuru öÄŸrencileri bir ders programı hazırladılar ve öÄŸretmen olarak arkadaÅŸlarına sundular.

2B öÄŸrencilerine karışık resimler verilerek onlardan hikâye yazmaları istendi. Ortaya çok güzel bir proje çıktı.

Our 1st grade students have done their first writing presentation!! They have introduced themselves by using the form of “ I’ve got…” and presented their project in front of the class.

7th graders prepared a presentation about “My Childhood Memories”. They looked at past and saw how they changed and expressed this to class.

What’s Happening in Adam’s Classes?

(Report for January and February)

1st Grades – We learned and practiced some school objects together with colours. We used in context some vocabulary about birthdays. We sang a song and did a dance with the moves from the lyrics.

2nd Grades – We practiced the “have got” pattern in affirmative, negative and question sentences. We sang a song called the “Monster Dance” and did the moves from the song. We practiced numbers and learned some more farm animals. We also did the next part of the story time in the book.

3rd Grades – We learned and sang a song. We practiced some sentence patterns with adjectives and wild animals. We learned how to describe animals and used the short answers of the verb “to be”. We also did the next part of the story time in the book.

4th Grades – We learned the days of the week and practiced them in many different ways. We talked about free time activites and sang about these activites and the days of the week. We learned how to tell the time and practiced it a lot. We learned some adjectives to describe animals. We also did the next part of the story time in the book.

5th Grades – We learned and practiced some new vocabulary. We did all the activites from the book and practiced sentence patterns. We started story making activites based on pictures without any vocabulary clues and the students really enjoyed this kind of speaking exercises.

6th ,7th and 8th Grades – Because of the English Event at school, we did a lot of rehearsal so most of our class work was based on speaking and discussion activites. We did a lot of pronunciation work as well.

2.Sınıflar-  “Have got” kalıbı (Sahip Olma) olumsuz ve soru halleri ile öÄŸretildi ve çeÅŸitli çalışmalarla desteklendi. Monster Dance adlı ÅŸarkı öÄŸrenildi ve söylendi. Sayılar tekrar edilmiÅŸtir ve bazı çiftlik hayvanların adları öÄŸrenilmiÅŸtir. Okuma parçası iÅŸlenmiÅŸtir.

3.Sınıflar- Åžarkı öÄŸrenildi ve söylendi. VahÅŸi hayvanlar ve sıfatlar öÄŸrenildi ve cümlede kısa cevap olarak ‘olmak’ fiili öÄŸretildi. Okuma parçası iÅŸlendi.

4.Sınıflar- Haftanın günleri iÅŸlendi ve çeÅŸitli alıştırmalarla pekiÅŸtirildi. BoÅŸ zamanlar ve günlük iÅŸler hakkında konuÅŸuldu ve bu konular hakkında ÅŸarkı öÄŸrenildi. Saat dilimleri ve zamanın nasıl günlük hayata aktarılacağı alıştırmalarla öÄŸretildi.
Hayvanları betimlemek için kullanılan sıfatlar öÄŸretildi. Okuma parçası iÅŸlendi.

5.Sınıflar-  Yeni kelimeler öÄŸrenildi ve alıştırmalarla pekiÅŸtirildi. Kitapta bulunan ütün alıştırmalar yapıldı. Hikâyeyi hiçbir kelime ipucu almadan, resimlerden giderek öÄŸrenciler çözmeye çalıştı ve bu etkinlik ile öÄŸrenciler büyük bir coÅŸku ile kendi düÅŸüncelerini yansıttılar.

6. 7. ve 8. Sınıflar-  2. Dönem gerçekleÅŸecek olan English Time for Dek gösterisi için provalar yapıldı. Sınıf içi konuÅŸma ve tartışma faaliyetleri yapıldı. KonuÅŸma esnasında öÄŸrencilerin telaffuzuna dikkat edildi.

2-A sınıflarıyla yemek konusu iÅŸlendi ve bunun pekiÅŸmesi içinde Can I have some….?  kalıbı öÄŸretildi ve bir restoran resmi verilip karşılıklı konuÅŸma cümleleri yazmaları istendi.

The Pupils learned vocabulary related to food and in order to reinforce, they made a project using the “Can I have some…?” structure.  They were given a picture of a restaurant  and  they wrote a dialogue. We had fun.
