What’s Happening in Adam’s Classes?

Report

1st Grades – We learned the family members, party objects and we sang a birthday song. All the new vocabulary was used together with numbers. We continued listening to our main story and learned more about the characters.

2nd Grades – We learned and practised the “have got” patterns – positive, negative, questions and short answers. We continued with the main story from the book. Then, we learned about animals and sang a song about them.

3rd Grades – We learned about parts of the body and some adjective which we an use for phisycal description. The students prepared their own monster and described it. We also learned and sang a song. Then, we did some computer based activites like vocabulary puzzles, finding the differences or problems in pictures and talking about them.

4th Grades – We learned how to tell the time with all the details, how to talk about daily routines, we continued with the main story of the book, and we learned the days of the week and how to talk about weekly schedules. Then, learned and sang a song. Then, we did some computer based activites like vocabulary puzzles, finding the differences or problems in pictures and talking about them.

5th Grades – We learned about eating habits and school menus. We had a discussion about interesting facts related to the blue whale and we learned about the life of the biggest mammal in the world. We also had pictures based stories where the students had to create the story and I explained the new vocabulary. Then, we did some computer based activites like vocabulary puzzles, finding the differences or problems in pictures and talking about them.

6th Grades – We learned about school life and vocabulary about it. We learned how to talk about the weather and how to understand the weather forecast. Then, we did some computer based activites like vocabulary puzzles, finding the differences or problems in pictures and talking about them. We also read and talked about some interesting real stories.

7th Grades – We talked about routines in the past and we learned about basketball. All the students prepared and presented a slide show about a successful person, explaining what their success was. We had a discussion about values in general. We had a lesson about jokes in English. Because of the students’ interest in Illuminati and the so-called “end of the world”, we had a discussion about it, too.

8th Grades – We learned and practised vocabulary related to health and health problems. We learned some useful travel tips, we revised and practised the use of present perfect tense in news reports, we learned different kinds of TV programs and had a discussion about the TV world. We also learned vocabulary that we can use while shopping. We had a dsicussion about idioms and then a lesson about jokes in English.

1.Sınıflar– Aile bireyleri ve vücudun bölümleri öÄŸrenildi. ÖÄŸrencilerle beraber doÄŸum günü ÅŸarkısı söylendi. Kitapta yer alan karakterler ile ilgili öÄŸrenciler yeni bilgiler edindiler ve dinleme etkinlikleri yapıldı.

Sınıflar-  öÄŸrenciler günlük hayatta nasıl konuÅŸulabileceÄŸini ve saat dilimlerini nasıl kullanacağını çeÅŸitli aktivitelerle öÄŸrenmiÅŸlerdir.  Haftanın günleri ve hafta sonu planları öÄŸrenildi. 5. Sınıflar–  Yemek alışkanlıkları ve okul menüleri öÄŸrenildi. Mavi balinalarla ile ilgili bilinmeyen gerçekler hakkında öÄŸrencilere sunum yapılıp konu üzerinde tartışıldı. Resimlerle anlatılan sunumda öÄŸrenciler yaratıcılığını kullanarak yeni kelimelerle hikâye oluÅŸturdular.

6. Sınıflar– ÖÄŸrenciler okul hayatını yeni kelimelerle pekiÅŸtirdiler. Kelime bulmaca, resim arasındaki farkları veya sorunları bulma ve onlar hakkında konuÅŸma gibi bazı bilgisayar temelli etkinlikler yapıldı.

7. Sınıflar–Tüm öÄŸrenciler baÅŸarılarının ne olduÄŸunu açıklayan, baÅŸarılı bir kiÅŸi hakkında bir slayt gösterisi hazırladı ve sundu. Toplumda kabul edilen ortak deÄŸerler hakkında konuÅŸuldu. ÖÄŸrencilerin ilgisinden dolayı Illuminati hakkında tartışma yapıldı.

8. Sınıflar– SaÄŸlık ve saÄŸlık problemleri hakkında kelimeler öÄŸrenildi ve pekiÅŸtirildi. ÖÄŸrenciler bazı yararlı seyahat ipuçlarını öÄŸrendiler. Spor haberleri ile Present Perfect Tense kullanımı pekiÅŸtirilmiÅŸtir ve öÄŸrencilerle, televizyonun insan hayatındaki önemi hakkında tartışma gerçekleÅŸmiÅŸtir. WHAT’S HAPPENING IN ADAM’S CLASS?

1st Grade – We learned and sang a song about the characters of the book which includes greetings and basic introduction questions. We practised first meeting conversation patterns.

2nd Grade – We learned and practised how to ask and talk about age. We listened and read the first episode of a story about pirates. All the students read a part of the story, paying attention to pronunciation and intonation. We also did some vocabulary work.

3rd Grade – We practised the pattern “Have you got___?” and “I have got”. The students prepared a mini id card of themselves. We listened and read the first episode of a story about pirates. 4th Grade – We learned physical appearance and house vocabulary and practised it. We listened and read the first episode of an adventure story. All the students read a part of the story, paying attention to pronunciation and intonation. We also did some vocabulary work related to the story.

5th Grade – We learned about holidays and physical appearance. We had a discusson about pets and animals in general. There was also a discussion about travelling and holidays.

6th Grade – We learned about camping and a fable with an important life lesson. Then, we had a discussion about camping and wild life. The next discussion was about the life lesson from the book. Shortly, it was about being happy with you have.

7th Grade – Learning about sports and the life story of Helen Keller, a blind and deaf woman. The first discussion was about problem solving in general and the second one was about the story of Steve Jobs, the former CEO of Apple and a brilliant designer.

8th Grade – We practised some grammar structures in context. We learned how to fill in an official form, how to talk about appointments and how to respond to different kinds of information. In the discussion we talked about technology in general, Steve Jobs(the former CEO of Apple and a brilliant designer who passed away last week) and a story from his life.

6. sınıf: Kamp yapmak ile ilgili bilgiler öÄŸrendik ve önemli bir hayat dersi veren bir fabl okuduk. Daha sonrasında kamp yapmak ve vahÅŸi hayat ile ilgili tartışma yaptık. Daha sonra fablda bahsedilen hayat dersi olan “elindeki ile mutlu olmak” ile ilgili tartışma yaptık.

7. sınıf: Kör ve sağır olan Helen Keller’ın spor ve hayat hikayesi ile ilgili bilgiler öÄŸrenildi. İlkönce,  genel olarak problemleri çözme üzerine tartışma yapıldı. Daha sonra hem Apple ın CEO su, hem de zeki bir tasarımcı olan Steve Jobs’ın hikayesi ile ilgili tartışma yapıldı.

8.sınıf : KonuÅŸma dilindeki bazı dilbilgisi yapılarını çalıştık. Resmi evrak doldurmak, randevulaÅŸma hakkında konuÅŸmak ve farklı çeÅŸit bilgilere nasıl tepki verebileceÄŸimiz ile ilgili bilgiler öÄŸrendik. Teknoloji ile ilgili tartışma yaptık. Ayrıca geçen hafta vefat eden Apple ‘ın CEO su olan Steve Jobs’ un hayatından bir hikaye ile ilgili tartışma yaptık.

6/B students performed their English Project. Each student took a photo that they would like to present it to the class. Students shared their feelings and ideas about the photos.  Each student had fun. We had a great time together.

6/B öÄŸrencilerim ingilizce proje hazırladılar. Herbir öÄŸrenci sınıfa sunmak istediÄŸi fotorafı çekti ve getirdi. ÖÄŸrenciler fotoraflar üzerinde fikir ve görüÅŸlerini paylaÅŸtılar. Birlikte çok güzel zaman geçirdik.

Our subject was  “Description of a place or a building”.Our 8th grades level A students,Aslı NİNAT,Berkin HALAY,Mehmet Efe ERKAN and Renk MIDIKHAN prepared a presantation on Eiffel Tower.

Konumuz “Bir yer veya binanın tanıtımı” idi.8. sınıflar A kuru öÄŸrencileri Aslı NİNAT,Berkin HALAY,Mehmet Efe ERKAN and Renk MIDIKHAN arkadaÅŸlarına Eiffel Kulesi ile ilgili sunum yaptılar.
